Colonized Grain or Wood Spawn

Our colonized blocks are all made from cloned mycelium of some of my very best mushrooms that WE HAVE ACTUALLY GROWN.  Just take a look at our beautiful pink oyster mushrooms and chestnut mushrooms and you’ll see exactly what you are getting.  Most varieties come colonized on rye grain except for the wood loving species that don’t tend to grow well on grain spawn.  Those species (like wine caps) will come as colonized wood spawn.

*Important Note: The wood spawn is made from either 2 or 4 pounds of our finest wood lover’s gourmet substrate.  Keep in mind that some species like Shiitake that are in the browning stage will weight less due to the mycelium eating the substrate and water usage.  However, when you do your dunk before frying, you can be certain that they will regain their full weight.
